A greener way to work
We’re taking a closer look at our offices, from building emissions to what we put on the menu. At Meta, we’re actively improving work facilities for our employees worldwide.
We have been meeting our annual interim reduction targets and remain on track to reach our 2030 goals.
We are targeting a 50% reduction in office emissions in 2030 (from a 2019 baseline), which we aim to achieve through these specific targets:
- 32% reduction in office energy consumption
- 50% reduction in waste generated in office operations
- 35% reduction in employee commute emissions
- 40% reduction in embodied carbon of building materials and furniture
- 54% reduction in carbon intensity of culinary offerings
