RFP: Value Chain Interventions for Emissions Reductions

At Meta, we have a goal to reach net zero emissions across our value chain in 2030, which requires us to address emissions sources throughout our value chain. Since 2023, Meta has launched an annual RFP for value chain interventions for emissions reductions, and this year we are focusing our RFP on the following sectors:

Semiconductor manufacturing
Chemicals manufacturing
Truck transportation
Copper mining and manufacturing
Steel and iron mining and manufacturing
Cement and concrete manufacturing
Space heating of commercial buildings
Addressing fugitive emissions of fluorinated greenhouse gases in commercial settings
Air transportation
Aluminum production and processing
Maritime transportation

Request for Proposals

In order to receive the RFP, we require organizations to have an executed NDA in Meta’s mutual NDA template. If your organization would like to receive the RFP, please complete this intake request form and we will follow up with you directly.

Key Milestones

Deadline to execute Meta’s mutual NDA (if one is not already in place) *Meta will distribute the RFP to each respondent as soon as the mutual NDA is executed	July 18, 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time
Last day that Meta will distribute the RFP	July 18, 2025
Deadline to submit RFP responses	September 19, 2025 at 12:00pm Pacific Time
Diligence on proposals received *During this period, firms that don’t meet Meta’s due diligence criteria will be notified via email	November 2025
Expected outreach to firms with responses that Meta intends to explore further	November 2025
